Environmental sustainability
Our newly created Environmental Sustainability Division are currently recruiting a variety of roles across the breadth of work that we do. These roles will support the continued growth and status of environmental sustainability at National Highways.
National Highways connects the country, and it is important that we do that in an environmentally sustainable way. We have a clear direction to move faster and be more ambitious regarding the environment. We're looking not just to minimise environmental impact but actively enhance the environment.
Delivering on our Net Zero carbon commitments, enhancing biodiversity, minimising the impact on communities and environmental receptors close to our network are key to the successful delivery of our programme of works. As is the development and delivery of future investment plans.
The Environmental Sustainability Division was established in January 2022, and is growing in strength and number. The increase in size and seniority of the posts in the division reflects the centrality and importance of the environment to National Highways. The division will develop standards and strategies, provide advice and guidance and assure environmental work across the company. The division is also integral in developing future strategy and direction for the company.
Our current opportunities are shown below - we'd love to hear from you if you're looking to develop your career and skills in the environmental sustainability field.
